In their last meeting, Orcas won the Nov. 5 District 1/2 Championship in a thrilling shootout over Providence — the only team besides the Wolverines to beat them this season. The Vikings and the Highlanders were scoreless after regulation and two overtime periods but Orcas outshot Providence 7-6 in the shootout.
Providence Classical Christian beat Crosspoint 5-1 in the semi-finals. Friday Harbor and Crosspoint will play in the consolation game at 1 pm Saturday. The winner will finish their season in third-place, the loser in fourth place.
This is the Vikings (16-2) fifth state tourney appearance. Orcas placed second in Class 1B/2B in 2018-19 and fourth in 2017-18.
