PHOTOS ADDED: Wolverine boys edge Saints in OT, secure state berth and Tri-District title

Friday Harbor High School boys basketball team edged Seattle Lutheran 66-63 in overtime at Sedro-Woolley High School Saturday, Feb. 16. and secured a Class 2B State Tournament berth and the Tri-District Tournament title.

The Wolverines trailed 22-20 at the half, led 36-35 at the end of the third period and built a 10-point lead in the fourth, but the Saints rallied to tie the game at 56-56 at the end of regulation. Friday Harbor recovered and outscored the the Saints 10-7 in overtime.

Next up for the Wolverines (15-7) is a state regional contest Feb. 22 or 23. Seattle Lutheran (15-7) will meet La Conner (11-9) or Darrington (15-6) in a winner-to-state/loser-out contest Monday, Feb. 18 in Sedro Woolley.
