State basketball tournament: Friday Harbor boys vs. Oroville, girls vs. Tri-Cities Prep

Friday Harbor boys and girls basketball teams will be traveling to Eastern Washington for the regional round of their Class 2B 2018 State Basketball Tournaments. The 13th-seeded Friday Harbor boys will play 12th-seeded Oroville at 8 p.m. Friday, February 23 at Wenatchee High School. The 14-seed Wolverine girls will meet 11-seed Tri-Cities Prep at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 24 at Chiawana High School in Pasco.



The Wolverine boys (14-8) won the Northwest 2B/1B League and were the Bi-District Tournament champions. Oroville (14-9) placed second in the Central Washington 2B League and the Hornets finished fourth in the District 5/6 Tournament.

Friday Harbor girls (11-11) were third in the Northwest 2B/1B League and placed second in the Bi-District Tournament. Tri-Cities (17-5) were Eastern Washington Athletic Conference co-champions the Jaguars took third in the District 5/6 Tournament.
