Orcas Island High School soccer team won the Class 1B/2B State Championship Game in a 4-3 shootout November 20, 2021 in Sumner.
Providence Classical Christian player Andrew Letsche scored in the first half. The Vikings started making momentum in the second half and tied the game with 12 minutes left in regulation play when Viking Cadence Kraayeveld crossed the ball to Tommy Anderson-Cleveland who headed it in.

With the game tied 1-1 at the end of regulation time, two five-minute overtimes were called. No one scored, so the game went into a shoot-out. Anderson-Cleveland, William Ibarra, Diego Largo, and Pedro Guerra scored. Viking goalie Paxton White blocked one of the Highlanders shots and another went wide as Orcas beat Providence and won the State Championship.

In the regular season, Orcas won the Nov. 5 District 1/2 Championship in a thrilling shootout over Providence — the only team besides the Wolverines to beat them this season. The Vikings and the Highlanders were scoreless after regulation and two overtime periods but Orcas outshot Providence 7-6 in the shootout.
The Vikings beat their inter-island rival the Friday Harbor Wolverines 2-0 in the semi-final game on Friday, November 19 to make it to the championship round. Kevin Garcia and Romero Lago scored the Viking goals.

Providence Classical Christian beat Crosspoint 5-1 in the semi-finals.
The 2021 State Tournament was the Vikings (16-2 in regular season) fifth state tourney appearance. Orcas placed second in Class 1B/2B in 2018-19 and fourth in 2017-18.
