Friday Harbor’s Rock places 8th at state in 3200 run
Friday Harbor long-distance runner Lily Rock posted two top-10 finishes at the Class 2B State Track and Field Championships at Eastern Washington University in Cheney May 26-28. The Wolverines’ McKenna Clark also completed her season among the state’s best sprinters.

Rock ran the 3200-meter run in a personal-record time of 13 minutes, 12 seconds and finished eighth. The junior also placed 10th in the 1600 run with a PR of 5:54.89.
Clark, a sophomore, finished 11th in the 200 dash preliminary in :13.81 and was 14th in the 100 meter sprint preliminary in :13.81.
