Wolverine Volleyball team takes 5th place at state tourney

Friday Harbor High School Girls Volleyball team, playing at the state tournament for the first time in 18 years, is coming home with the 5th place trophy. The girls defeated Northwest Christian 3-0 (25-21, 28-26, 27-25) in their final game Saturday, November 14, 2015.

The Wolverines won three of the four games they played in the 2015 Class 2B State Tournament in the Yakima SunDome.

On Friday, November 13, 2015 they beat Tri-Cities Prep 3-0 (25-15, 25-23, 25-23). Then LaConner beat Friday Harbor 3-1 (25-19, 25-17, 25-17). On Saturday, the Wolverines beat Warden 3-1 (18-25, 25-20, 25-15, 25-14) and then beat Northwest Christian.
