Snow blankets the islands and shuts down schools - SLIDESHOW

Schoolchildren in the San Juan Islands enjoyed a few snow days and/or late starts this week as several inches of snow covered the islands. Accumulation ranged from 2 inches in the center of Lopez Island to 5.5 inches on the northwest of San Juan Island February 8, 2017 according to the Community Collaborative Rain, Snow and Hail Network

    We had at least 7" at our place...above Duck Soup area.
