SLIDESHOW: A snowy holiday weekend - sledding, dog walking, street plowing and working

For most of the weekend, the San Juan Islands looked like the inside of a snow globe. The forecast calls for rain so it'll be gone soon. Photographer Matt Pranger captured images that provide a taste of what snowclad San Juan Island looked like - from a ferry worker at the terminal, to snow plows on the streets, to dog walkers, and kids sledding.

Robin Atkins contributed a photo from the Oaks where the sledding was powered by ATVs. Another islander shared a photo of sledding in Sunken Park in Friday Harbor.

Hope you enjoy the 25 photos in the slideshow.
