SLIDESHOW: May 5, 2019 Opening Day Boat Parade Friday Harbor
The theme of the Opening Day Boat Parade in Friday Harbor was “A Community Afloat”. Boats of all sizes, captained by community members and representing a variety of organizations, cruised past Spring Street Landing Sunday, May 5, 2019. Grand Marshall Town of Friday Harbor Mayor Farhad Ghatan waved from Baten, a wooden supply boat built in Friday Harbor in 1978 and skippered by Dr Carolyn Haugen.
