1,213 pounds of trash picked up on San Juan Island April 20

Islanders pitched in for another successful Great Islands Clean-Up. On San Juan Island, 113 volunteers collected 1,213 lbs of trash from 115 miles of roads and beaches on Saturday, April 20, 2024.

Celebration at San Juan Island Brewing Co

The folks at San Juan Island Brewing Co. hosted a celebration for the volunteers in the afternoon.  Results from Shaw, Lopez, Orcas, and the outer-islands will be posted after they are received.

Congratulations to Phil Green and Xoe Chue (pictured holding their awards) who were both presented with a Good Steward Finnie Award for their work to promote environmental stewardship in the islands.
