Island Studios in Friday Harbor shutting down October 15
Message from Island Studios in Friday Harbor - After 27 years showcasing local art, Island Studios will be permanently closing at the end of business on Sunday, October 15. Until that time, we will continue to be open daily from 10 am-5:00 pm.
- A huge "Thank You" to the all the artists who have allowed us the privilege over these many years of sharing their art with locals and tourists alike and for their continuing support and encouragement through some challenging years.
Thanks also to all the previous owners, especially Claudia Fullerton and Pat Moore, as well as the other building tenants, including Mystical Mermaid, Nash Brothers Sporting Goods, UGALA, and Blackmoss.
There is no one reason that the gallery is closing, but several issues that factored into this tough decision. (The business is still for sale in case there are any last minutes buyers! If so, please contact Jim Carroll at Better Properties (360) 298-5034 directly).
With deep gratitude to the artists, tourists and residents of all the San Juan Islands who have supported us on this wonderful journey, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Finally.....many of the artists have discounted their work 10-50% so stop in for some great buys before we close!
