Suspect arrested on Lopez Island for theft and possession of firearm

A person with a long history of arrests was reported to be in possession of a firearm on Lopez Island Friday, September 29,2023.  San Juan County Sheriff's Office received the information via the 4-1-1- app tip line. A Lopez Island Deputy investigated and arrested a  subject for Theft of a Firearm and and Possession of a Stolen Firearm. The suspect was booked into jail without incident. A probable cause hearing will take place Monday, October 2, in Superior Court.
