Update on 2 bodies found in Salish Sea
The two bodies found three weeks apart in the water - one near Center Island and the other off the east side of San Juan Island - have no connection.
The one near Center Island was found August 18, 2023. San Juan County Sheriff Eric Peter said once the identification is confirmed and relatives have been notified a report will be posted.
On July 26, 2023, a female body was recovered from the water off the east side of San Juan Island. The investigation into her death is ongoing.
