March 31: Celebration of Sgt. Herb Crowe who's retiring in May

Sergeant Herb Crowe (Orcas Island) will be retiring on May 24, 2023, after more than 24 years of dedicated service to the San Juan County community. A community celebration of Sergeant Herb Crowe will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023, in Eastsound at Fire Station 21 on Mt. Baker Road. The event will take place between 12 Noon and 5 PM. Hotdogs will be served (while they last).

Sheriff Eric Peter said, "Congratulations Sergeant Herb Crowe on your upcoming retirement and we are all grateful for your dedication and service to our community and to the San Juan County Sheriff's Office."

    Herb was a wonderful friend to the SJC Derelict Vessel Prevention Program and always had time to assist the program. He has always been polite, effective and an asset for our community. Congratulations, Herb! And Thank You!
