1,942 COVID cases in San Juan County since March 2020; 19 this month
The number of COVID-19 cases in San Juan County since the first case in March 2020 is 1,942 as of September 12, 2022 according to the San Juan County Health and Community Services Department. The health dept is releasing numbers once a week on Mondays.
So far as of September 12, 2022, there have been 19 cases in San Juan County. This compares to 157 cases in August 2022. In the months of June and July, there were 121 and 105 respectively.
Actively Monitored Cases, are those cases involving confirmed positive individuals who are still in the infectious period of their illness, are required to remain in isolation, and are being carefully monitored by San Juan County public health staff. An individual can have ongoing long-term symptoms of COVID and no longer be infectious. The numbers as of September 12, 2022 are: San Juan Island 2 | Orcas Island 1 | Lopez Island 0 | Shaw Island 0 | Outer Islands 0
