Responsible for supporting the maintenance and repair of the District’s facilities, including the Frank Wilson Memorial EMS Building (20% of time), 535 Market Street Administrative Offices (10% of time), and Village at the Harbor (70% of time). Work with other assigned staff and contractors to support facility and grounds maintenance. Groundwork is also supported by outside contractors.

The position of Finance Manager is responsible for all financial matters for the Museum, including record keeping and planning for business transactions. The position requires advanced accounting skills in order to maintain the fund accounting system. Budgetary preparation and management skills are also required. The Whale Museum has a part-time opening in our Gift Shop. The position requires weekend and holiday availability. Responsibilities involve connecting the public to the museum, including (but not limited to) greeting guests, answering visitor inquiries, providing information about our mission/programs, cashiering, and opening/closing the store & exhibit hall.
